Tech Lab

An introduction to technology based careers using a hands-on approach. The student will complete various units during the semester by completing the required activities, reporting on those activities and taking a test over each unit to demonstrate his/her knowledge of that unit. Each unit will take the student 8-10 days to complete and then the student will move on to another unit. The individual units the student will select from include: Digital Photography, Robotics, CAD/CAM Lathe, Computer Driven Router, CAD Drafting, Graphic Design, Digital Music, Fluid Power, Laser Application, Computer Animation, and Precision Measure and Electronics.

Make-up work and assignments:  95 % of all work in Tech Lab has to be done at school.  The activities at each of the twelve stations all require the use of materials at each of the stations.  If a student is absent, he/she needs to schedule make up time with me in order to complete the required work.  The Tech Lab is open every morning from 7:45 to 8:10, during 2nd Hour (my conference period), during 8th hour on the days I am not in the math tutoring room (my tutoring schedule is posted in the Tech Lab), and after school from 3:20 to 3:45.
